Scott Weavil
Scott is Sierra Pacific Partner’s founder and managing director.
Scott founded Sierra Pacific Partners to provide expert advice and services to dynamic middle market companies. He firmly believes that M&A is a process, and if you own the process, you’ll get results.
Scott holds a FINRA Series 79 (Investment Banking Representative) and a Series 82 (Private Securities Offering Representative), and is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), a FINRA-recognized designation. He is a Chapter Chair and member of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA), and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), M&A Source, and ProVisors among other professional organizations.
Scott began his career as an M&A attorney on Wall Street at Skadden, Arps, where he worked on multi-billion dollar public company transactions. He attended Duke University and Vanderbilt Law School, and is an MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Scott lives in Lake Tahoe with his wife, Mandi, an OB/GYN, their daughter, Dottie, 8, and their dog, Breaux, a French pointer.
He is a member of the board of directors and finance committee of Barton Health, a hospital and health system, and a member of his sheriff’s office search and rescue team. He enjoys outdoor adventures and has climbed Denali unguided.

Vanessa Sirgobind
Vanessa is Sierra Pacific Partner’s director of operations and an investment banking analyst. Prior to joining Sierra Pacific Partners, Vanessa worked as a startup project leader and a research manager in the consumer goods sector.
Vanessa attended the Durban University of Technology in South Africa and the University of Derby in the United Kingdom, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology and a University Certificate in Psychology. She is currently studying for a law degree.
Vanessa is passionate about people and going the extra mile to grow business networks and relationships. She also brings excellent project management and organizational that help move transactions forward with speed and efficiency.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys reading, researching, game nights, running and diving.

Clinical advisor | MedTech + minimally invasive surgical innovation
Reid Shepard, DO
Dr. Shepard is Sierra Pacific Partner’s clinical advisor for MedTech, including minimally invasive surgical device innovation.
He practices as a general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive procedures at Barton Health.
Dr. Shepard is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is daVinci Xi Surgical System certified. Dr. Shepard completed a fellowship in minimally invasive bariatric surgery at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR, following a residency in general surgery at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. He is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences’s College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, and holds a BS in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University.
Dr. Shepard lives in Lake Tahoe with his family and enjoys rock climbing.

Chino Sahoo
Chino is Sierra Pacific Partner’s technical advisor for tech, with a focus on artificial intelligence.
Chino is a CTO-level tech executive, currently serving as director of Data, API & GenAI Strategy, Enterprise & Product Architecture at IQVIA. Prior to joining IQVIA, he worked for IBM for over 15 years, as a senior IT architect, software developer, and integration test specialist, among other roles.
Chino has expertise in enterprise architecture, public/private/hybrid cloud architecture, agile development, DevOps, technology innovation, and analytics-based execution. He leverages that expertise in assisting in technical and diligence aspects of Sierra Pacific Partners technology engagements.
Chino holds a BS in computer science and economics from Duke University. He lives in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina with his wife and daughters, where he enjoys playing softball.

Shaun Nyangoni
Shaun is our Client Engagement and Marketing Coordinator. His passion lies in delivering the best service possible. Prior to joining us, Shaun had sales and customer service experience working in retail and the insurance industry. He brings that knowledge to the firm and strives to ensure that all of our clients are happy and, more than anything, leave well informed and knowing that they have gotten more than their money’s worth.
